The climate in my hometown is agreeable. And your hometown?

With a maternal great grandfather who was a full blood Cherokee Indian this piece struck a chord. All Americans without any Native American ancestry are illegal immigrants. Imperialism and colonialism are the basis for the inhumane illegal occupation of America.

Hispanic immigrants are particularly demonized because under America's one drop rule of racial classification so many of them have obvious brown Native American and to a lesser extent black African ancestry. If they were white Spaniards or Argentenians or Cubans no one would care. But the mestizo Hispanic population in particular from Mexico is the real problem.

But for the illgal immigrants America would be aging and shrinking in population like Russia, Europe and Japan which is a recipe for future economic and social disaster. Rather than discouraging immigration America should find ways to encourage it by simplifying and humanizing the process to our mutual benefit.

Americans should be proud that people from all over the world still want to come here. And they should be ashamed of the ignorance, bigotry and racism that underlies much of the illegal anti- immigrant argument.

Esther I'm surprised you would waste your talent on this bogus report. No matter who sugar coats it, most illegals will tell you that we have between 20 to 50 million illegal aliens ( the correct terminology) in the United States.

Where does the DHS get their information from?

The real issue is, with the amnesty of 1986 under the Simpson Mazzoli Act, all illegal immigration was supposed to cease.

I don't think it is the right time to be talking about comprehensive immigration reform with 10 million American's unemployed and expected to subsidize people who entered our country unlawfully.

I would be in favor of a plan that would allow one illegal alien into our country for every pandering Congressman that we deport.
